Katie started her career with the Utah Department of Corrections in 2015 as an Office Specialist I in the Warden’s Office. Katie was then promoted to Administrative Assistant in 2017 where she enjoyed mentoring and managing her staff. Her job included working with several state agencies, making decisions for the office,

After gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Warden’s Office she took her talents to work with the Transportation team as a Program Specialist I in 2019. She supervised staff and maintained the organization and scheduling for all the offenders housed at the Draper and Gunnison facility to be transported to their medical appointments, court, county jails, etc.

In 2021 she was promoted to a Correctional Program Coordinator II with Utah Correctional Industries.

She takes pride in ensuring that every day she handles her job with careful attention and likes to create a positive work environment.
