Becky Heaps started her career as a dental assistant with the Clinical Services Bureau, the medical arm of the Utah Department of Corrections.

She has also worked with the UDC’s Division of Prison Operations in Management Services, the Timpanogos Administration Office, and the Warden’s Office.

Other UDC stops include the Institutional Programming Division (with the Conquest program) and Adult Probation and Parole (with the Sex Offender Registry/Interstate Compact office).

She was appointed to an Executive Assistant by Director Brian Nielson in 2021 in UDC’s executive office and served in that capacity until December 2024.

Becky transferred from the executive office to work as a Correctional Program Coordinator II in Utah Correctional Industries.
