Asbestos Abatement

Asbestos Abatement

UCI Asbestos Abatement began operations in September of 1987. Four to ten member crews work year round from one end of the State to the other to make our public buildings and schools safer for our citizens.

Inmates and staff who participate in this program receive intensive, certified asbestos removal training. Inmates who receive this certification and gain real work experience often obtain similar employment after their release from prison.

Aside from the obvious health benefits, the Asbestos Abatement program provides substantial savings to the taxpayers. The State can expect a savings of 20 to 50 percent of normal direct removal costs when using this service.

Some of our major customers include the Division of Facilities and Construction Management (DFCM), who helped us set up this program in 1987, and the Salt Lake School District.

The Asbestos Abatement program has an excellent track record and is considered by many to be the best asbestos contractor in the State.
